Reconnect a lost device

Troubleshoot connection issues and re-pair your devices.

Check the basics

Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (or connected via USB cable) and that DeckPilot is running on your Mac (check the menu bar icon).

Wait for auto-reconnect

DeckPilot automatically tries to reconnect when the connection drops. You'll see a "Reconnecting..." banner on iOS. Give it 10-15 seconds.

Tap "Search Again"

If auto-reconnect fails, go back to the pairing screen and tap "Search Again". Your Mac should reappear in the server list.

Re-pair if needed

If your Mac doesn't appear, sign out on both devices and sign back in. Then pair again by tapping your Mac in the server list.

Connection issues are usually caused by VPNs, iCloud Private Relay, or different Wi-Fi networks. Try connecting via USB cable, or disable VPN and Private Relay to test.
